Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal tells the story of Jesus Christ, from a very different perspective.

Fans of Christopher Moore will obviously appreciate this book. The book would also be appreciated by fans of comedies.

Moore's writing. Though some might not think much of the "low-brow" humor, I found the book delightful and I found myself chuckling out loud several times.

I also liked how Moore is respectful of religions, basically by poking fun of all of them equally. One would expect Christians, in particular, to be upset by the book, but I think it's been found that most have enjoyed the book.

There was very little, if anything, I disliked about this book. I read it for a second time recently, and parts that I felt had dragged upon my first reading didn't the second time through. I enjoyed it even more the second time.

Christopher Moore has written several comedy novels. His writing is often absurd, filled with puns and childish humor.

It will probably make you laugh and think.

If you don't like puns, cheap shots and juvenile humor, you might not like the book.

I had the pleasure of meeting the author at a book signing. He's as funny in person as he is in his books. He explained that the gospels tell of Jesus' birth and then skip to his twenties. He said something like, "I'm not an expert in religion or history, so I thought I'd be the perfect person to attempt to explain the gap!"
