Summary of this Book...
THis is a novel about three women who live in an Atlanta High Rise Condominium. The British Concierge organizes a group watching of Downton Abbey for once a week in a public area. I love Downton Abbey, therefore, I bought this book. I shouldn't have. I have read 50 pages and there is only the briefest of references to the show. The characters (a rich woman supporting her sponging brother and sister, a divorce and a woman trying to write a book) do not interest me. I thumbed through the rest and the references I saw to Downton Abbey were brief and uninteresting. The use of Downton Abbey was merely a gimmick to sell books to dummies like me.
I didn't like... | ||
the fact that after 50 pages, there was almost no reference to Downton Abbey.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
never buy another book by this author.
This Book made me feel...
like I was cheated, but I think I learned a lesson to sit and read a bit in Barnes and Noble before purchasing.
The author of this Book...
really disappointed this reader.
I don't recommend this Book because...
it is a cheap gimmick used to sell when there is not much story to be had.
