Summary of this Book...
Fifteen year old Matthew Moore lives with his mother, Joan, and stepfather, Bill, who treats him like his own son. But after his grandmother, Joan’s mother, comes to live with them after her house burns down, strange things begin to happen. Suffering from a severe case of Alzheimer’s, she believes Joan’s older sister, Cynthia, is still alive, and she refuses to move into Joan’s house without taking Cynthia’s belongings with her. Then a sudden tragedy occurs and Matt is believed by the town to be a murderer. But was he? Or is Cynthia somehow involved? Or somebody else? Another gripping ending to an excellent book will answer the question.

Anyone who loves mystery and horror is sure to be entertained this book.
I especially liked... | ||
The concept of the book. The ending comes as an unexpected twist, which just adds to Saul’s reputation as a great writer of horror. He has an uncanny way of tying unbelievable loose plots together into surprisingly believable endings.
When I finished n/a this Book I wanted to...
Go out and get the next one. With over thirty-four novels of horror to his credit (and counting), I’m going to be reading his books until I’ve finished them all.
The n/a of this Book... | ||
I only recently stumbled across John Saul’s books in the library, and I’m glad I did. He is a master of his craft, having sold more than a million copies of his first book, Suffer The Children, an immediate bestseller.
I recommend this Book because...
If you enjoy horror that somewhat reflects the style of Dean Koontz, you should add John Saul to your list the next time you go to the bookstore or library. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
Further Comments... | ||
Warning! John Saul’s books are highly addictive. This reviewer can’t put his novels down. Once you’ve read the first page of one, don’t expect to be doing anything else until you’ve finished it.
