Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is a story about Jane Austen's life and how she gave up the love of her life in order to do what was best for him. It is very sad, although she became one of the most popular writers in the English language. Her success came at quite a price - her personal happiness, but she sacrifices everything to do the right thing for the man she loved.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone interested in Jane Austen.
I especially liked... | ||
Anne Hathaway and, of course, as always, Maggie Smith is fabulous.
I didn't like... | ||
The guy who plays Tom, the love of her life. He is not very appealing and they had no chemistry - James McAvoy and Anne Hathaway.
This DVD made me feel...
sad for Ms. Austen. She died way too young.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
does a good job with kind of a dull, slow moving script. I had to watch it 2 times because I fell asleep during the first watching of it.
I don't recommend this DVD because...
it moved way too slowly. It could be a good story with the right script and cast. I didn't find either one of those here, but Anne Hathaway is good as Jane Austen.
