This is an original Netflix series based on a BBC mini series. The Netflix one stars Kevin Spacey as Francis Underwood, a ruthless Congressman and Majority Whip of the House of Representatives. Francis will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. That means everything is on the table as he connives and wheels and deals. Robin Wright (used to be Robin Wright Penn) plays his ice cold wife, Claire, who is on board with all of Francis' plans.

anyone who wants to watch modern day conniving and political intrigue.

Kevin Spacey - he is a genius at every role he tries. Mr. Hooves and I had bets on how long it would take the series before he got to sing and it was longer than I thought, but it happened. Mr. Spacey wants to sing and so he does. Very well.

it is riveting TV. Mr. Hooves enjoyed the BBC show, although I found it somewhat dated. There is something about Kevin Spacey that I cannot look away from.

Mr. Hooves has an issue with Mr. Spacey's southern accent. It sounds right to me, but Mr. Hooves (who hails from Texas) finds it a bit over the top. I found it to be believable.

We both are hooked on the show and eagerly await Season 2! The opening credits make me homesick for Washington, DC, where I grew up.
