Summary of this Book...
After the assasination of her father and brother in law, Princess Stefanie and her sisters are in hiding, masquerading as young men at the behest of their guardian. Stefanie is working as a law clerk, and her employer's friend catches on to her secret disguise right away. Sworn to protect her, Hatherfield is hiding dark secrets of his own.
I especially liked... | ||
The way the story was woven together, with flashbacks and present story counterbalancing one another.
I didn't like... | ||
Some confusing/not well explained plot elements near the end of the story.
Further Comments... | ||
This is the second book in a series of 3, each featuring one princess/sister. There were elements near the end that did not feel fully explained, pertaining to the ongoing mystery weaving through the series, and the role of certain people from Stefanie's past in the climax of the story.
