Wuthering Heights is the story of love and obsession. Heathcliff is a gypsy who is adopted in the Earnshaw family. He goes on to become the favorite of Mr. Earnshaw, enemy of Jr.Earnshaw and best friend cum love of daughter Catherine.

But when Mr. Earnshaw's died, he is relegated to work in the farm. Catherine spurns him for more privileged Edward Lincoln and he returns back, totally polished to take revenge on Earnshaws.

the ones who can read through descriptive prose.

the madness of the characters. I enjoyed how the author built the characters which made me shudder with relief that I'm not like them.

sit back and think upon human folly, on how we run after the things we can't have, on how much we turn away from our on happiness.

it's beautiful--language wise, story-wise. Of course it's a classic too and will sooner or later form a part of your syllabus.

it's a Gothic story. There are some very dark and disturbing moments in the story.

This is one of my favorite books, and Heathcliff is the BEST character ever written.
