Summary of this DVD... | ||
4 Opera singers come together in a Nursing Home for musicians in England. It is a beautiful place with music all the time. The 4 were split apart by personal conflicts. Maggie Smith plays Jean Horton, the big star of the outfit. Billy Connolly is quite wonderful as the lecherous mischief making Wilfred Bond. It is a comedy directed by Dustin Hoffman, featuring a lot of real life musicians. My only problem is you never see the 4 main characters singing. It is left to the viewers' imaginations.
I especially liked... | ||
the setting and I always like Maggie Smith. Billy Connally was hilarious.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
is a great cast and the setting was nice.
I recommend this DVD because...
it is enjoyable with a nice setting. It is not a great film, but I did like it enough to watch it from beginning to end and that's saying something these days.
