This is a show that we watched streaming on Netflix. It was a 6 hour miniseries and it was so riveting and good that we watched it in one go, finishing up at 1 AM which is unheard of in this house. Now, we both have watching hangovers this morning.

It is about a policewoman in England. Her daughter's rapist is released from prison (her daughter committed suicide and the mother is raising the daughter's son, who is the child or the rapist. Another horrible crime is committed - an abduction and terrible things happen.

This is 6 parts/6 hours and the only thing about it that didn't make sense was the way they let the little boy run around unsupervised when the psychopathic father was still on the loose. This made no sense, plot wise, to me.

But, overall it was a very good show, featuring the actress who played Mrs. O'Brien on Downton Abbey as the policewoman's sister, Claire.

the suspense and how it kept me wanting to watch it all in one sitting.
