Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is the third season of the CBS Drama, Blue Bloods. Mr. hooves and I are binge watching this on Netflix. We are enjoying it very much. This is a great show with stories about conflicts between the police, the D.A.'s office and the office of the Police Commissioner in NY City. One thing I like is that it doesn't dwell on relationship stuff for the drama. It is all pretty much disagreements and conflicts of ethics and policy. That makes for a very interesting show. This season focuses on the dead-end life in a housing project called Bitterman, ironically enough. It is about people who give up on life and those who make the best of a very bad situation. The mayor is recovering from being shot while dealing with the projects and Jamie lost his partner to a shooting there. I like that the police aren't always painted with the brush they seem to be painted with by the media. They are human beings in this, who make mistakes. They are much more likeable than the lawyers.
I especially liked... | ||
Donnie Wahlberg and Tom Selleck. They bring humor and sarcasm to a new level on the show.
I didn't like... | ||
that they got rid of Jennifer Esposito as Danny's partner. She was much better than the lady who plays Baez. I don't like her botox lips look at all and her acting isn't up to Esposito's.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
is excellent. They shouldn't change partners so much with the brothers, though. They should have kept Jennifer Esposito and maybe worked with her health issue or worked it into the story.
