Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is a film we got from Netflix. It was surprisingly pretty good, not great. It is about a drummer (Miles Teller) who goes to a fancy New York Music school where he gets to play for an elite group led by J.K. Simmons as Fletcher, a sadistic task masker who destroys some of the young men he enlists in his band. I won't give the ending away, but it wasn't totally satisfactory. I wanted something more definitive for Andrew in his performance. This film won the Oscar for Law and Order's J.K. Simmons. It was not a great film, but it was different than most and definitely worth the time to watch it. That is saying a lot these days.
I especially liked... | ||
Miles Teller's performance. J.K. Simmons was a little over the top for me.
I recommend this DVD because...
it was a good story and enjoyable. I didn't want to watch it at first, but it hooked me in. I didn't like the ending, but it was okay. The language was a bit rough at times.
