Summary of this DVD...
This is the 5th Season of the TV Series that is rapidly becomming one of our favorites ever. In this season, Andy continues to bond with his partner, Bobby Simone. Bobby and Diane solidfy their relationship after some troubles and move to get married.

Andy and Sylvia raise their son Theo and Andy has quit drinking and is working slowly to control his temper over things. The squad works well together and has formed a team that supports each other personally and in crime fighting mode. This sets the stage for the devastation that is to come in Season 6. Season 5 bonds the viewer to the team so that the pain of what is to happen will be even worse.

The show is shot with the back drop of the twin towers in just about every episode because they are in the precinct that is the 15th.

9/11 also hangs over the show for the viewer as the players have no idea (as did anybody normal) of what is to come to the city too soon.
The cast of this DVD...
is wonderful. I like Kim Delaney a lot, but all the rest of the cast is first rate. Jimmy Smits and Dennis Franz do a great job with their characters and so do Nicholas Torturro and Gordon Clapp. Bill Bochtrup appears now and then as John, the P.A. substitute. Mike Roberts and Delores also figure in this season.
Further Comments...
This is a great show for anyone who enjoys police drama. There is a lot about solving cases and a lot about interactions and relationships among the squad and building relationships with confidential informants in the public. It is a complicated web of intrigue and violence that ensues.
