Summary of this Book...
This is another of Koontz's great thrillers. Bibi Blair, a young novelist, suddenly learns that she has inoperable brain cancer and will die within a year. Upon hearing that, she says "We'll see." And then, by the way of a 'soothsayer', she is suddenly cast into chasing down a girl named Ashley Bell, whose life she now needs to save. It's a very 'imaginative' story, and with chapters of 3 or 4 pages long in a 560 pager, Koontz keeps the action moving well.
This type of Book is good for...
It's somewhat inspirational, but that's about it.
I especially liked... | ||
The way Koontz lets the reader know just what goes on in an author's mind and imagination, and how dangerous that can be.
I didn't like... | ||
The way it suddenly changed from being 'real' to 'unreal' about 1/2 way through. You'd have to read it to know what I mean.
When I finished n/a this Book I wanted to...
Find another new Koontz bestseller!
This Book made me feel...
Like I always do after reading one of his books: satisfied and happy that no matter what may plague us in this world, things DO turn out alright in the end.
The n/a of this Book... | ||
Is one of my favorites, and a bestselling author who has been around for decades.
Further Comments... | ||
Koontz's stories are usually down home mysteries of the possible. Or at least he makes them that way. But this one sort of deals with the impossible. But then again, for going out on a limb with this, he still pulled it off.
