Although probably best read in order of the series, this book was given to me by my dad, after I'd read the third in the series (this book is the fourth). Tempe finds herself working in the middle of a crash site on the unfortunate victim's identities, but it's clear someone has a vendetta against her and is trying their damned hardest to get her kicked off of the case and away from that area - but why?

Anyone that's fascinated by crime novels and thrillers. There's a dark undercurrent to this book which kept me in suspense until the very end.

The mini lesson Tempe (and consequently myself) received on blood spatter patterns - I never realised how much information the patterns reveled and found it all incredibly interesting.

Obviously there are a lot of organisations involved in crime scenes, and being British didn't help with all of the American organisations acronyms, of which I struggled to keep up with. But it wasn't too important to the story so it didn't matter all that much.

I've always been interested in crime and criminals, so this book just intrigued me further in this line of work.

It's got everything. It keeps you guessing, there's a bit of romance, you learn a lot about crime scenes and it's also quite historic.

Pick up the book! Or at least pick up the first one in the series.
