Jane Hawk, a F.B.I. agent, has gone on leave, and she is now on a solo mission: to find out why certain suicides in the United States are growing at an alarming rate. And she won't stop at anything until she finds the truth. Many of the people who killed themselves had productive lives, were very happy, and were of sound mind and body. After her husband takes his own life, Jane starts doing some heavy research and realizes that it's a cover-up of some sort. And now she's on the run since the people involved in the cover-up know she's onto them.

Anybody who loves a great thriller written by the master of this genre, Dean Koontz, will appreciate this book!

How Koontz keeps the action moving at such a fast pace all the way through book. His chapters tend to be short (5 to 7 pages), and each time you want to put the book down to rest your eyes-wham!-he hooks you with yet another twist to keep you turning the pages!

I wanted to go out and buy the second book in the series about Jane Hawk, titled The Whispering Room

the way I always do after reading one Dean Koontz's novels: satisfied that I read another of his great bestsellers, and sad that it had to end!

Dean Koontz has written many New York Times bestsellers, and his commitment to his readers seems to have no end.

Anybody looking for a nonstop, action filled book that they can't put down will love this one.

I've been a fan of Dean Koontz for decades, and he never disappoints his readers. I know without a doubt that if I see his name on the cover of book that I'm going to go on roller coaster ride of story!
