Everyone has heard of The Sims, haven't they? This, as the title suggests, if the fourth Sims base game. It completely refreshes some aspects of the game compared to The Sims 3, it's still got the same core theme. Your job is to live. You create a sim, which is a lore more freeing than it was in The Sims 3. You can create family/friends/enemies, whatever you feel like for your sim. You can get them a job, a house, a spouse, kids, aliens, vampires. Hell, you can do a lot! Of course, it wouldn't be a Sims game without most of the content available via extra costs and games, but there is plenty of it out there.

Chilling out. There's no pressure with this game. You could set your sims to be completely autonomous, and just watch them, ultimately probably die. Or you can take control down to quite fine details.

The new style of the same is more cartoony, but somehow more realistic. There's better detail to everything, and the new emotion system brings another aspect to the game.

The base game is quite content sparse, I couldn't play it without expansions.

There's no finishing Sims. It just keeps going. If your whole sim family dies, you can simply create another one and carry on.

Having a life in Sims is so much easier than real life.

EA. Yeah, they're hated. I can't fault them too much for this game. I enjoy it too much.

It's still being improved upon, and is still supported, despite being a few years old. There's a new expansion coming out soon.

My review wasn't just based on this base game, it's based on all the content I've got, which includes:
The Sims 4
The Sims 4: Get to Work
The Sims 4: Vampires
The Sims 4: City Living
The Sims 4: Get Together
The Sims 4: Parenthood
The Sims 4: Dine Out
The Sims 4: Vintage Glamour Stuff

As you can see, that's quite a few. There's at least 10 packs I don't have though, to give you an idea on the scale of content in the game.

The game is also highly supported in the modding community. There's 100s of mods out there that change core gameplay, or add extra content. So you can get a lot for free.
