I really liked that Laine seems to stay true to herself. While she doesn't follow in her father's footsteps, she does occasionally let herself skate the line of right and wrong.

While I did like the romance between Laine and Max I felt like it was too rushed. It was just a little too cheesy, even for a book.

I think a prequel featuring Laine as a child would have been great. I'm sure there would be some amusing tales.

Nora Roberts previously published this book along with another in Rember When.

Reading this book was a nice way to kill a couple of hours. The suspense and action made up for the hokey romantic angle.
