Summary of this Book...
I enjoyed this book. As far as ‘whodunnits’ go, it definitely kept me hooked. I went back and forth between all the characters a hundred times, at least.

As far as outstanding writing goes … I’ve never really thought Paula Hawkins has that. Don’t get me wrong. I have enjoyed the three books of hers I’ve read immensely. But she doesn’t have writing with the wow factor. But then, for this genre, you don’t have to blow your readers away with the majesty of every sentence. You just need characters who are believable and relatable. Characters we care about. Along with a plot that is clever and keeps your readers on the edge of their seats. And this book checks both of those big time.

The story in this book is a classic ‘whodunnit.’ A body is found on a canal boat. Here are the suspects. Figure out who did it. Simple. But, not so. Plus, there is an awesome twist at the end.

I enjoyed this, and I will definitely read Hawkins’ latest book, too.
This type of Book is good for...
People love crime fiction where they have to figure out who is guilty when, actually, the entire cast seems a little bit guilty. People who like unreliable narrators will enjoy this. Every character is hiding secrets and very unreliable.
I especially liked...
The relationship between Laura and Irene. I really liked Laura, even though she was a train wreck who seemed completely unable to make any good decisions. Maybe that's why I liked her so much.
I didn't like...
I don't think Paula Hawkins is the best writer in the world. The editing is a little off at times, as well.
This Book made me feel...
Excited. Confused. Apprehensive.
The author of this Book...
Paula Hawkins. This is her third book.
I recommend this Book because...
It's a good read.
I don't recommend this Book because...
It's not packed with fast-paced action.
