It shows you how to doodle anywhere--at home, in the office and on the go--on loose scraps of paper or in a notebook. I loved this book! I was able to follow the instructions easily and made lots of fun doodles while reading it. I borrowed my copy from my local library but I might buy some of the author's other books, as this is the only one they carry and it was so much fun I'd like to extend it. I thought this was an easy to follow book and it was one of the few that actually lived up to its Amazon book page write up. The parts for envelopes and invitations and whatnot were at the back. The bulk of the book was normal doodles but done in a way that was easier than usual to follow and offered more variations than usual. Not that I've read a lot of doodle books, but I've read a few, and this one is my favorite now. Some of the things I doodled / drew from this book included: a koala bear on a branch, a lion, lots of cats, some people, an apple, a turtle, a poodle dog, a duck, a goose, a giraffe, a zebra and some other fun things scattered throughout my planner on the days I enjoyed the book. My nephews are better artists than I am or I'd send a copy of this book with their next package. They love cats though, so maybe I will include it. The Kindle version of this book is 134 pages. The book averages 4.7 stars for its Amazon rating (with over 500 reviews), and 4.4 stars on Goodreads. I gave it five stars on my Library's rating page for it. PS: I think my favorite doodle drawing I did from the book was a sleeping cat. It came out purrfectly. The only thing I didn't like about the book was the sideways cat faces. I thought it made them look less cat-like, the way the nose curved up and pointed. One more thing I liked - it was fun to see how different color variations could make such different end results too. | ||
