This book is about a group of friends who take a vacation to a Retreat, on an island - and murders happen. There is a superstition about the Curse of Reaper's Rock that killed youngsters years ago, and they feel that this curse is back to reek havoc again. Then in comes the detective. There are many suspects, as the stories unravel, and there are many twists and turns to keep up the suspense until the murders are solved.

The excitement that kept me engaged. The book is creatively written and kept me hanging as I tried to solve the murders along with Detective Elin Warner.

Some of the back stories seemed a bit long, taking away from the book; they seemed to be slow spots. But there weren't many.

It is exciting and well written. It will keep you hanging, while each unexpected layer is being peeled back. You will come full circle with this book, as you navigate each plot twist.
