This book takes place in a small town. The cut-throat lawyer in the town keeps trying criminals and getting them off, and the people are not happy with her. This book is about what happens when some murders happen, and the town's people don't want the murderer/s to get away with it. The lawyer, Ashley, becomes a suspect when one of her clients is murdered. Then two investigators turn up to solve the murder and prove that Ashley was framed. But the town's people keep interfering because they don't want her to get off. And a sinister plan is uncovered. | ||

This book had me riveted from page one. I enjoyed the small-town setting, and the ragtag collection of characters. Some of the antics of the members of law enforcement were a bit far-fetched, but that didn't disturb my enjoyment of the book. | ||
I didn't like... | ||
And the flirting scenes were a little awkward, but I was able to overlook them and focus on the crimes and trying to help solve them. | ||

This was a very easy read, and I will definitely consider reading the next book in the series. | ||

I definitely recommend this book. It is so well written and will keep you roaring when you think you get close to solving the murders, and laughing at the antics of the town's people. | ||
