Ellie is a young woman who is fat. She is obsessed with the fact that she is fat so she hires a man from an escort service to be her date to visit her crazy relatives. Soon after the visit her uncle dies leaving her and her new ‘fiancé’ everything if he can write a book and she can lose 60 pounds in the next 6 months. Ellie is sarcastic and funny. This book even has a hidden treasure they have to find within the 6 months

I really liked the turns this book took. The book was unusual and original. The characters were interesting and did not seem one-dimensional. The crazy family is a hoot too.

She does a great job at writing each character with their own voice. From the crazy uncle, to the wanna be model, to the psycho adults, she manages to keep them as individuals.

I think this is a really good fast read that does not take too much brainpower in the middle of the workweek. I can sit down, enjoy, and laugh.
