Summary of this Book...
Five strangers are about to face their past. They are drawn to their childhood homes, which are suspiciously the same. The House serves as a barrier between the living and the dead, and needs the help of these five to keep the barrier from weakening. It would be easy, but the evil spirits represented by a dirty little girl does everything she can to thwart their efforts.
I especially liked... | ||
the fast pace of this book. I finished it in a few days, while other books take me a couple weeks. I hated to put it down!
I didn't like... | ||
the constant changing from one character to the next. I felt like I had to keep notes on each one, to remember who was who and what their part in the story was.
This Book made me feel...
scared! A great Haunted House story!
I recommend this Book because...
the story moves fast, and it has a good balance of gore and psychological horror.
Further Comments... | ||
All in all, I thought this was a great book. I still don't understand the rose in the cheese, and the fruit salad. I'm hoping to discuss this with others to find out. This book was reviewed by Stephen King to be a master of the macabre, and I agree. Perhaps not as good as any of King's works, but enjoyable none the less.
