A new mom thinks she has the perfect life. A loving husband, a new baby, nobody had it so good. Then things started happening to her baby. Rats infested the childs room, and bit him. He caught swine flu, and herpes. Kate knows that someone is after her, but doesn't know who it is. Everyone thinks that she's doing these things to her son to get attention. Her son is abducted, and she goes insane trying to get him back.

that it was fast paced and left lots of clues. I didn't know until the end who the bad guy really was. Great suspense.

the way the author piled up the bad things happening to Alex so quickly. It's hard to believe that they happened, since it was all at once. He could have built it up more.

unsatisfied. I think the author could've done more. The base of the story was great, but he needed to work on the extraneous stuff.

had a great story, and didn't mess it up too bad. I think he's almost the same level as John Saul, and definitely better than Koontz.

It's a huge roller coaster ride, very fast paced.

I don't know, it's just not one of my favorites. The author needed more embellishment.

I've definitely read worse books than this one. It was an ok story, but come on... she marries the cop and now they are all a happy herpes family? Why wasn't an alibi established for when the orderly found the Morphine in her desk? She had been at the copshop that morning. Another thing that bugged me was how Alex jumped from one family to another, switching easily to a new mommy, the one her old mommy said was a witch? Good authors can make you believe the impossible. This author keeps me a skeptic.
