Summary of this Book...
Paul Moreaux was eight years old when he discovered the picture of his father's family taken before WWI while they were still living in Quebec. The family always tried to keep this picture slightly hidden, as in it, Paul's Uncle Adelard had completely disappeared as soon as the camera took the picture, when he'd been standing there only seconds before!

Paul is shocked when he, too, begins to "fade," to become invisible. At first, he thinks this is a very handy thing, but over time, he learns that the fade is a thing of evil, and when he fades, he can see things that people try not to see, like prostitution of very young girls and incest.

"Fade" is about the disintergration of personality - of self - through obsession.

Be forewarned, however, this has some pretty dark subjects in it (incest, violence, serial murder, the KKK, etc).
