I especially liked... | ||
This novel had an extremely good story and setting. I found myself quite moved by it.
I didn't like... | ||
For one, this novel did not scare me at all. It seemed to be purely fiction attempting to try to be scary, but failing. This is unusual for King, who can usually scare the pants off of me. So that was a little disappointing. Also, the ending for this book did not do much for me, it was too tragic, and it basically bashed writing stories.
The author of this Book...
Stephen King, probably my favorite writer of all time. If, for some strange reason, you do not know anything about him, I will give a brief summary. Stephen King lives in Maine. He has a wife who is also a novelist, Tabitha King. Stephen King has written over thirty novel. I have read about a third of his novels, and I have yet to come across one that I did not like at all. In my opinion, the two best novels of his that I have read so far are "It," which is about a killer clown, and "'Salem's Lot," a vampire story. Both of these scared me pretty good, and like many of Stephen King's they took place in Maine.
I recommend this Book because...
It's a good story. I felt King did a very good job at developing the storyline.
I don't recommend this Book because...
If you are looking for a book that will scare you, look at one of his other novels.
Further Comments... | ||
The plot of this story is excellent until the very end, where it got a little too weird and a little too tragic.
