After 16 years of marriage, Mattie Hart discovers that her husband is involved in yet another love affair. At the same time however she finds out that she has a dvestating illness. Through this illness the two come together in a love that they had never known, but is it too late?

The emotions of the characters involved. I especially like the main character, Mattie and her toughness in dealing with her devestating illness. The one who touched me the most however, was their daughter, torn between the love of both parents.

How I had to cry through almost half of the book.

Sad. The ending is so devestating that I could not believe that it was happening.

Joy Fielding is a master of emotions and is always worth a cry.

I Put this book in my others folder because I wasn't sure in what category it is to be placed. Yes, she falls in love with her husband, but it is not what the book is based upon.
