Summary of this Book...
Owen and reilly come together for the sake of his son, Rory. But they soon discover love, family and sharing amid the chaos of the civil war and the unfair treatment of the American indigenous peoples.
I especially liked... | ||
the author's historical accuracy.
I didn't like... | ||
the fact that the "white man" was responsible for attempting to wipe out an entire group of peoples.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
read more about that period in history. And hope that Payton Lee will write a sequel so I can find out what happens to the family after the war.
This Book made me feel...
it made me question the accuracy of our history.
The author of this Book...
is a terrific researcher and writer.
I recommend this Book because...
it's a wonderful love story but at the same time makes you think about people no matter what their background.
I don't recommend this Book because...
can't think of one reason not to read this book.
Further Comments... | ||
It was wonderful to read about Native Americans as people just like you and me; who love and care for their families and want the best for them. I can't recommend this book highly enough.
