A girl is found missing on her way home from school and is never found. Only she and her killer, know what happened, how she was raped and murdered in an hole not far from her home. She goes to heaven, and watches and tries to help as her family drifts apart and together because of her death. She watches as her closest friends grow up, never forgetting Susie Salmon.

A very good book, on the NYT Best Seller list. Makes you think. A book that you can't put down, and I really mean that.

How in her heaven it's not just all angels with haloes and harps. There are real people up there with her, all with their own problems and reasons that they're there. A real heaven.

The style is a little confusing. The author skips years, sometimes 5 or more, without any warning that she has do so until you hear the characters new ages. It is almost unbelievable at times that one death could remain so potent after almost 20 years

think about what it told me. Then read it again and see if there was any new meaning in it. (I did, there was.)

Sad and happy at the same time.

is a great author who does deserve to be on the Best-Seller list, but again, does need to work on her chronology

it makes you think about the realities of life. It isn't really a feel good book, it presents life as is, and it really makes you feel for the characters in it, even the 'bad' ones.
