Summary of this Book...
"The storyline evoles around two seemingly homekless men waiting for someone - or something - named Godot. Vladimir and Estragon wait near a three on a barren stretch of road, inhabiting a drama spun from their own consciousness. The result is a comical wordplay of poetry, dreamscapes, and nonsense, which has been interpreted as a sonber summation of mankind's inexhaustible search for meaning."
I especially liked...
I loved the repetition in the story. It helps you reach out to the characters. It somehow drives your sense of insanity along with the characters.
This Book made me feel...
This book made me think very hard about how the world works and the ways of human thought.
The author of this Book...
Samuel Beckett - was born in Dublin in 1906 and graduated from Trinity College. He lived most his life in Paris, where he dies in 1989. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Liturature in 1969.
I recommend this Book because...
This play, Beckett's first professionally produced, has "become a cornerstone of twentieth-century" theatre.
Further Comments...
This play was origionally written in French and was translated by the author.
