This book contains just the right amount of poems for the reader to gain an appreciation of John Donne's poetry.

I liked that the book contained a brief biography of John Donne as well as chronological time line of events which occured in his life time.

The old English word formats make for more difficult reading than contemporary poetry; but this is only a minor nuisance when weighed against the rich wonder of John Donnes thoughts and presentations.

Write poetry just like John Donne. I felt inspired to create my poetry the way I've always wanted to, the way I see it; as John Donne did.

Encouraged to keep on writing.

John Donne was termed a "metaphysical poet" and lived from 1572 to 1631.

It's a wonderful collection of poems.

"The Sun Rising" is one of my favorite poems in the book.
