Summary of this Book...
The latest work in Toni L. P. Kelner's Laura Fleming mystery series finds Laura returning to her roots in Byerly, NC to resolve the attempted murder of her Aunt Maggie's new husband. It's an entertaining cozy full of marital mayhem and dangerous liasons, Southern-style.
I especially liked... | ||
The interaction between Laura's Shakespearean scholar husband when his New England sensibility comes into conflict with the Southern-way of doing things. The characters are full of ecentricities and their conflicts are entertaining.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Immediately rush out and buy the previous entries in the series.
This Book made me feel...
As if I'd been along for a rather enlightening ride through life in a small town in rural North Carolina.
The author of this Book...
Toni L. P. Kelner is a native North Carolinian who now resides in suburban Boston. She loves to hear Bostonians say she sounds funny, right after they've "Pahked the cah in Hahvahd Yahd."
I recommend this Book because...
It's a very light fast moving cozy. Toni has once again proven an author can write a witty mystery thriller without resorting to excessive profanity and painting every page with buckets of blood.
