Summary of this Book...
Ralph Roberts is an older man who just lost his wife starts. A few months after her death, he starts suffering from insomnia. Every night, he wakes up a few minutes earlier. He starts seeing auras, and puts it down to sleep-starved hallucinations. At the same time, in his town of Derry, Maine, a massive debate is raging over the question of abortion, and a women's center that also gives abortions is the epicenter of this free-for-all. The story gets much more involving in complicated, though, when Ralph starts "seeing" two little bald doctors with scissors and one crazy one with a scalpel....
I especially liked... | ||
All the Dark Tower references. I loved all of the Dark Tower books so far, and I like the way the Tower, Ka, and Ka-Tet is worked into the plot.
The author of this Book...
I love Stephen King's style. Its down-to-Earth and descriptive, something you don't find everyday.
I recommend this Book because...
If you liked the Dark Tower books, you'll probably like this book, but its not the same. Derry after It has changed, and that is another reason you might want to read the book. Finally, it deals with a major issue in today's society, and you see it from many sides.
