Harry Potter's adventures continue in this fifth volume of the series by J. K. Rowling. Things begin to get mysterious and odd things happen all around, as Harry, stuck at Privet Drive, anxiously awaits any word at all from the wizarding world. Lord Voldemort has returned at last, and he is in hiding, acting by stealth in any way he can, and he has a master plan ready for Harry... but what is it? Why did he choose Harry in the first place?

The character development in this book is amazing. Harry, Hermione, Ron, and all the rest are coming into their fifth years, and the girl troubles pertaining to Harry are quite realistic. I really liked how the author brought us into the wonderfully magical world that seems to be right under our very noses... if we have the heart to find it. A lot of questions I had about the series were answered in the book, and we finally see a tiny love interest come to life, which I had been watching and hoping for in the previous ones!

Go to J. K. Rowling and demand the sixth book! Once again it left me wondering, but ready and willing for more!

A whole lot of things. My emotions ranged from wonder, to hatred, to anger, to happy, to girly... Every turn of the page was suspenseful and I drank in every word.

Has really outdone herself! She kept us waiting awhile, but she more than made up for it, with her witty and clever characters and their brave adventures through their ever-changing world.

It is simply a wonderful read. Harry Potter fans all over will love this book!

I am an avid fan of the books, and think everyone should read them! All the controversy over this book is nonsense... I didn't go and commit sins all over the place because of it. I think it's a very good book if you want an exciting, suspenseful journey through a magical world where beyond every curve in the road you find another surprise waiting for you.
