This book is chock full of beautiful and creative poetry from the best of the seventeenth century poets. There are 508 pages of stories, anectodes and metaphors that keep me enthralled every time that I pick up the book.

Just picking up, opening randomly and getting swept away immediately.

I especially liked reading poetry from poets I'd not heard of before.

That, as usual for this time period, there are no women represented. Of course, perhaps I've not opened to the right page yet, or maybe the women used psuedonyms.

I've not finished reading this book yet.

Romantic.

It is fun to read and displays rhythm, rhyme and thought in a very entertaining manner. I hope that the talent contained in these pages may someday rub off on me.
