It is centered around a girl named Alanna who has a twin brother. Her brother is supposed to become a knight, and she is supposed to become a proper lady who has to study. Before they are sent off to be trained for their profession, they switch places and tell their teachers that their was a misunderstanding and that they are twin boys. It follows Alanna's few years training as a knight and after it. Each book has a different conflict that involves personal desicion and magic. Their is a romance conflict between different men adn Alanna and it is set in a midevil time period. She struggles to keep her identity hidden for a while adn struggles with other greater powers.

A quick read since it's level is so low but it leaves you feeling good. It is centered around a strong female protagonis and is a ood power to the women book. The plot is relatively simple and each book spans about 3 years.

The characters, they were very complex but at the same time unrealistic. They were real enough that I could relate but that had enough distance that they seemed a greater being than me so I almost looked up to them. Alanna is someone many girls strive to be. Strong, determined, and suceeding in a male-dominated environment. I also enjoyed the style in which the book was written. It was simple so you could absorb it but complex enough to make you think.

How much time passed within a book. It makes Alanna grow too quickly and each book seems to be over too quickly.

Go back, become a female knight, and kick some bad-people's butt!!! After each book I also wanted to cry becasue it was over.

Self-rightous and good about women it was self-fufilling.

seems really awsome and has great ideas on women's power.

It makes you feel good and can take you away from reality. It lets you escape from wherever you are and see everything happening.

It is over too quickly, everyhting goes by and you can't seem to catch it. I mean you catch it but you wish that it was longer.

I really enjoyed this book and to the people who like fantasy/midevil stories centered around a strong woman figure, this is an ideal book!
