Tha 2nd in a trilogy, this book takes us and the character of Will from his rebel stronghold in The White Mountains to the city of Gold and Lead.

Will has comepeted in a bunch of games and is hoping to win the top prize. That being a trip to see the master of the Tripods, in thier domed city.

In doing so he is going in undercover to try and discover if the Masters have any weaknesess and any other vital information he can obtain. If he finds this information can he get it to the folks on the outside?

What will he find in the city??

Will he find and reclaim a lost love from the first book??

Is there any weakness that can be found in the Masters??

Anyone in the Fantasy or the Sci-fi genre. It has a bit of both and the marraige is wonderful

The description of the Masters(Aliens) and the city. I could almost feel the artificial heat that was generated from the alien city.

Tell everyone about it and get them to read it.

Is John Christopher. He has written other books but his Tripod trilogy is my personal favorite.

You will love it and want to read the rest of the series to see if we can reclaim the planet from the terrible oppressors.
