Frank Castle (Dolph Lundgren)an ex police officer, believed to be dead has taken it upon himself to systematicly kill off any and all bad guys he can find.

In 5 years he has killed 125 criminals, and that is just "work in progress."

His old partner (Luis Gosset Jr.) who believes that Frank is alive and well is on a mission to try and save him from himself.

Meanwhile The Japanese Yakusa steps in and kidnaps the local Mafia bosses's children as part of thier takeover plot to rule the money and drug trade.

It is up to the punisher to try and save them......

Anyone who likes a great shoot em up revenge type of movie. Or anybody who is a fan of the comic.

There was a few plot holes that could have been taken care of, but.... I did not direct the movie.

Go out and find a scumbag to "punish"

It was dark and gritty just like the comic is, and I thought that Dolph got the feeling of Frank down perfectly

Some people will say that this movie is not true to the comic. Here is some of the basic whines... My comments will be underlined

1.He didn't have the skull. THIS IS ONE OF MY GRIPES. THEY COULD HAVE PUT IT IN THERE SOMEWHERE

2.He didn't hid out in the sewers he hid in wear houses. WHO IS TO SAY WHERE HE HIDES. HE CAN HIDE ANYWHERE HE CHOOSES. WHO WOULD THIINK TO LOOK UNDER THE CITY FOR HIM ANYWAY?

3.Where was the arsenal of weapons and bombs????? HE USED WHAT HE HAD AT THE TIME

4.They didn't even make him a Vietnam vet or even some type of soldier. Because cops are not soldiers. Cops are not trained on how to kill a person with all kinds of weapons and with their bear hands or to take life without mercy. WHO IS TO SAY HE WAS NOT A VET BEFORE HE WAS A COP

5.He didn't even wear Kevlar body armor. The Punisher has been wearing that from the beginning. Wearing body armor is more Professional.MAYBE HE IS JUST TIRED, AND WANTS TO DIE

6.The Punisher is someone who is always on, always alert, always ready, always prepared, almost inhuman and someone who has a pissed off look on his face half the time. NOT someone who is SLEEPY and looks depressed and can't even talk right!!! AFTER 125 MURDERS YOU TELL ME HOW YOU LOOK...

7.Where was his partner micro???NOT EVERY COMIC ABOUT PUNISHER HAD MICRO IN IT...

8.Where was Jigsaw or the Costa family??? It was the Costa Mafia that killed his family.

9.His family was killed in New York Central park. Not in a car bombing. CREATIVE LICENCE

10.The Punisher had a little boy and a little girl. Not two little girls. SEE NUMBER 9

11.His wife's name was Mary not Sharlene.IT WAS A MOVIE DUDE!! CAN YOU BELIEVE SOME OF THESE PEOPLE??

12.The Punisher has never talked to God or asked God why this happen. Never. DO YOU KNOW THAT FOR A FACT?WHY NOT TALK TO GOD TO SEE IF WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS RIGHT OR NOT?
