Alan Hess and Andrew Danish paid great attention to the design of this book and made it informative, as well.

It's a wonderful way to learn about some of California's unique recent history and architecture.

"Palm Springs Weekend" is not book about what to do for the weekend in the dessert...unless you plan to explore the amazing architecture that still remains.

The Kaufmann house (included in the book) is a must for mid-century mod groupies. As a matter of fact, my husband and I had to wait to get a look at the amazing home while a group of women oggled it before us, while teetering on boulders - and holding their own copy of "Palm Springs Weekend".
