The lovely and lonely Miss Elizabeth Hotchkiss is the paid companion to the irascable Lady Agatha Duncan. Lady Duncan has an eligible nephew- Lord James Sidwell, Marquis of Riverdale. In a lovely tale of love- Lady Duncan draws her nephew to her side to ferret out a blackmailer. As James searches for the foul person, he falls in love with Elzabeth. OF course he has no idea that Elizabeth must marry a man of money, and quickly, if she is to save her family from a life of poverty. And she has no idea he has money- as he is investigating the blackmailer in disguise.

Lots of laughs- Julia Quinn is very talented when writing dialogue. Her characters always make me chuckle out loud.

Not a lot of bedroom scenes- much more innocent than most Regencies out there.

Is wonderful! I haven't found a title of hers that didn;t make me smile throughout.

Buy it! Borrow it! Whatever, but if you enjoy Regency Romances- you will love this one.
