This is a book translated from a series of essays written by a Chinese general, Sun Tzu, in the middle of the first melennium B.C.

It tells of the way of war and the results of the use of tactics in battle and war. It is a very small book both in size and in pages, but has deep meanings for war both on and off the battlefield. The concepts contained in the book are useful in business and life in general also.

This book is a must for any military leader. The concepts expressed in the book are good for any leader to know. Generals, corporate executives, international managers, and just about anyone else who has to compete can benefit from understanding the principles in this book.

I especially liked how short this book is. It says a lot in short concise order. This is a must read for anyone studying combat in war or competition in the business place.

I didn't really care for the products small physical size. (about 2.5" x 3")

When I finished reading it, I wanted to re-read it a few times and study it. I wanted to gain more insight into what was written.

The book made me feel that I would not want to be up against a general or business adversary that was learned in the ways of this book. Not without being learned in the ways of the book myself that is!

The translator, Ralph D. Sawyer, is a scholar of Chinese warfare. He works with many major intelligence agencies and military institutions.

I recommend this to someone who must contend with adversaries in business or combat because the more you know, the more assets you have in your favor. the points written about in this book are sound to this day.

A good short read. Even though it is a translated work it is not too difficult to follow. This book is something that I will probably re-read many many times and I will probably gain some new insight or thought each time.
