Ray Bradbury writes about the joys of writing and his methods used throughout his lifetime of writing. Using example and thoughtful commentary in a book of about ten essays Ray Bradbury teaches that in order to write well, the author must get out of the way of the story, and then run behind it as the story unfolds, writing everything down. He teaches that writing is the result of work + relaxation + don't think, a Zen like method. An excellent read for an aspiring author or an accomplished one, I highly recommend this book.

This book is good for authors of all types and experience levels.

I especially liked Mr. Bradbury's style of writing and his honesty about what he believes it takes to become a good writer.

I didn't like the shortness of the book. Although Ray Bradbury covers his topic well, the enjoyable reading left me wanting more.

When I finished reading this book I wanted to get go work on my daily writing goal - I wanted to continue on the path I have set while applying the tools this book provides.

This book made me feel like a writer! There were many places in the reading of it that I thought, "I've known that!"

The author of this book, Ray Bradbury has written hundereds of novels and short stories over his lifetime. One of the science fiction masters of our time, Mr. Bradbury has written many popular novels and short stories in many different genres.

I recommend this book because I like it! Seriously, Mr. Bradbury writes well. The read is fast, easy, and the author plainly tells his "secrets" of writing success.

Although Ray Bradbury's fromula is simple (work + relaxation + don't think) and a book might not be needed to explain it, the book is, however, well worth the read. He writes about a couple of other methods that he used during his lifetime of writing also.
