This is a great book with a wide variety of essays on how to get started as a professional freelancer. From buisness tips to how to get jobs to balancing the writing lifestyle, this book covers all aspects of freelance writing.

the wide variety of essays. They cover many different aspects, both questions I've thought of and questions I wish I had.

the fact that all the books referenced weren't listed in the index. I was trying to remember the title of a book referenced several times in different essays, but I couldn't remember which essays.

write. No, call. No, query. No, research. No, go set up an office. Heck, I just wanted to be a writer!

excited, optimistic, and upbeat.

- actually, there were several. They all did a good job, too.

it has some great tips, facts, and ideas about becoming a freelance writer. I especially liked the first section on the actual business - it covered items like incorporation, which I had never even thought about (and won't need to for some time, but still...).

this book is basically centered on nonfiction and buisness writing. I suppose if you want to make money writing short stories, it wouldn't be a huge help. Still, the business section would provide some info. I still advise it if you want to write.

I hope I get this book for Christmas (big hint to dh here).
