An unbelievably hilarious treatment of errors in punctuation and usage in the English language. Most of the focus is on usage in the U.K., but Ms. Truss's comments do cross the pond as well.

The author manages to take a potentially soporific subject and inject it with her own brand of humor and wit, so it becomes a scintillating read.

Must-read for any author!

Anyone who loves words and language, and especially for those who are also "sticklers" as Ms. Truss is.

Her humorous take on the frustration she feels at how the mangling of English is becoming more and more accepted.

I can't really think of anything I didn't like.

I wished I had written it myself, darn it!

Like going out with a magic marker and correcting all those messed-up signs in store windows!

Deserves an award for humorously raising the bar on correct punctuation in everyday usage of English.

Without it, you just might (GASP!!) misuse a comma, or its benighted cousin, the semicolon.

Only if you the sort of person who wonders what all the fuss is about when someone puts a comma in the wrong place in a sentence, totally distorting its meaning.

Either buy this book or borrow it, but READ IT.
