Summary of this Book...
This book shows you the in's and out's of the publishing world from a literary agent/published author's point of view. Richard Curtis' brings his 40 year agenting experience and 50+ published book record of his own accord to this book, which I dub the bible of writers who want to be published. Although this book is titled 'How to be your own literary agent' he strongly advises against this, stating that the author is too personally involved to actually represent himself. What he actually offers the reader is the knowledge of the industry and the terminology that is used throughout the literary world. He takes you through every instance, step by step from finding an agent to formatting letters to signing contracts to selling your book, without leaving a single question (for me anyway) unanswered.
