This is actually a collection of essays based on "Firefly", the short lived show created by Joss Whedon (of Buffy and Angel fame). Titles and authors of essays include "Serenity and Bobby McGee" by Mercedes Lackey, "Thanks for the reenactment, sir" by Tanya Huff, "The Captain May Wear the Tight Pants, but its the Gals Who Make Serenity Soar" by Robert B. Taylor, "Kaylee Speaks: Jewel Staite on Firefly" by Jewel Staite, and "Mirror/Mirror: A Parody" by Roxanne Logstreet Conrad (a hilarious take on what would happen if the Serenity crew switched places with the Enterprise crew from Enterprise).

Laughs, some behind the scenes info from Jewel Staite (Kaylee), and some really interesting information about the series.

The article by Jewel Staite. She looked at each episode and gave her five favorite moments and also included some behind the scenes things. I also loved the Mirror/Mirror essay. I was laughing so hard at how the Serenity crew would take over the universe that I had to go back and read the article again to make sure I got it all.

I thought there was one essay where the show cited was the wrong show but now I can't find it again to point it out. I'll have to redo this when I can find it. Other than that I loved the book, no real dislikes.

I really hope there is another one based on the movie instead of the tv show. I have read two of the "Smart Pop" books now and enjoyed both of them (the other was "Stepping Through the Stargate").

This isn't really a feeling book but it is very informative and a great read, especially if you like background information and explainations.

Also wrote the episode "Shindig" which just happens to be my favorite episode.

Well its downright hysterical in some instances and always informative.

Definately a must read for Firefly fans. A little too short if you ask my opinion though, I could think of a few other things I would have liked to know about.
