This book is a combination of two books by Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet and The Possibility of Being. In Letters, Rilke corresponds with a young writer who has written Rilke for inspiration and advise. In Possibility, Rilke pens some of the most inspiring and beautiful poetry on the spiritual quest I have ever read.

Writers who find themselves questioning their creativity or purpose would do well to read Letters. Anyone who wishes to read inspiring and sometimes breathtaking spiritual poetry should definitely read Possibility

This book inspired me to look at the world a little differently. One poem in particular is well worth the price of the book for any poet -- Rilke's With Strokes That Ring Clear.

Rainer Maria Rilke was born in 1875 and died in 1926. He was a great poet who looked deep into his own life and provided inspiration through his letters and his poetry which still has relevance today.
