Summary of this Book...
Wallace Wallace isn't really a football hero, but everyone in town thinks he is. Doesn't matter, when he lands in detention he's not allowed to practice football anyway. In detention, he lands in the middle of play rehearsals for his school's rendition of Old Shep, My Pal and Wallace furthers his argument about the stupidity of the dog dying. The dog always dies in every story about a dog, he says. And he's tired of it. Well, so am I.
This type of Book is good for...
A light-hearted read to get your mind off heavier things.
I especially liked... | |||
The concept of no more dead dogs. Oh, and Rickisms--Wallace's friend Rick seems to get his metaphors mixed up, like the dude in Back to the Future when he said, "That makes as much sense as a screen door on a battleship."
I didn't like... | |||
Trying to be critical of this book. It's not supposed to be a masterpiece of modern literature. It's just a book geared toward younger readers with a fun story.
This Book made me feel...
Like a kid again, where I didn't have to take reading so seriously.
I recommend this Book because...
Everyone needs a break now and then.
