Summary of this Book...
This book takes a lot of the mystery out of classical reading. It provides an explanation of the most often mention characters of literature. Example - Ganymede: A young man of Phrygia so beautiful that Zuess had him brought to heaven by an eagle to become his cupbearer. Might be applied today to any youth of great beauty.

This type of Book is good for...
Students of literature, Opera and Theatre fans, Anyone who wants to know the meaning behind biblical phrases, sayings etc...
I especially liked...
The easy to read structure of this book - alphabetical listings.
This Book made me feel...
That I finally knew what my english literature lecturer was talking about.
I recommend this Book because...
It unmasks the mysterious characters of the bible and early literature so they can be easily understood.
Further Comments...
This book became as important to me as my dictionary when I was working on my english literature thesis.
A must have for students of all ages and walks of life.
