Summary of this Book...
This was the first book I read of Dan Brown's, and it was definitely and is my favorite that he has written. The summary is that this story of Robert Langdon takes place before what he did in the Davinci Code. It follows the same formula as that with him being called in, ect... but I found it much more engaging than the Davinci Code.
This type of Book is good for...
If you're interested in things about Rome, and for someone who likes some adventure and action.
I especially liked... | ||
The characters, and especially the female character. She seemed very strong and just took hold of the situation, and I felt like I could relate to her. I found myself enjoying when she showed up, what she said, did, ect...
I didn't like... | ||
When I read the Davinci Code afterwords, I didn't like that it followed that same kind of formula.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read it again, and just bask in the twist at the end and how it ended, I didn't see it coming and it kept me guessing the whole way.
This Book made me feel...
Nervous for the characters, and wondering/guessing what was going to happen next, what was the twist, and who was the person behind everything that you knew was on the inside.
The author of this Book...
His style is hard to get used to at first, but I got more used to it with this story than with Davinci code.
I recommend this Book because...
It's very exciting and I really did enjoy it, so I would recommend it. I'd say maybe reading it like I did, before Davinci Code, might make it even better though.
Further Comments... | ||
This story was exciting and I enjoyed the characters in it, which is funny, because like I said I read Davinci code and was less than impressed with it. I was thinking there'd be that same strong female character, and I just didn't care for the characters in that as much as I did for Angels and Demons. So, in my opinion, I feel that this is Dan Brown's best book and I liked it the best.
